Meet The Team

Karen
Karen, Office Manager
With nearly a decade at Signature Dentistry and more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, Karen is the steady, welcoming presence that helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Her extensive background in dental administration and insurance allows her to confidently guide patients through appointments, treatment planning, and financial questions with clarity and compassion. Karen believes every patient deserves to feel informed, supported, and genuinely cared for throughout their experience.
What she loves most about Signature Dentistry is the team culture - one built on support, kindness, and a shared commitment to making patients feel welcome and valued.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys time with her husband and dogs, relaxing by the beach, cooking, reading, and making family memories. If she had chosen a different career path, she would have loved being a history teacher - bringing stories and learning to life for others.

Lou
Louann, Dental Assistant
Louann is often described as Dr. Sommers’ right-hand woman and for good reason. With over two decades of experience in dentistry, including advanced training in radiology and dental assisting, she plays an essential role in helping patients feel cared for from the moment they sit in the chair.
Her attention to detail, compassionate nature, and commitment to patient comfort make her a trusted part of the Signature Dentistry experience. Louann genuinely loves helping people and takes pride in making each patient feel seen, supported, and cared for.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her furry companions, exploring Arizona, and riding her motorcycle. If she weren’t in dentistry, she says she’d be a dog trainer - which feels like a natural fit given her love for animals.

Sadie
Sadie, Dental Hygienist
Sadie joined Signature Dentistry in 2024 and quickly became a valued part of the team with her kind nature and calming chairside presence. As a dental hygienist, she loves building relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Her professional background includes volunteer dental outreach work in the Dominican Republic, where she experienced firsthand the impact compassionate care can make in underserved communities. Patients often comment on Sadie’s gentle approach and the peaceful energy she brings to the room - especially those who feel anxious about dental appointments.
When she’s not caring for patients, Sadie enjoys hiking, cross-stitching, knitting, and making music - she plays multiple instruments, including piano, guitar, cello, banjo, and even accordion. If she weren’t in dentistry, she’d likely be a teacher, sharing her love of learning and creativity with others.
